Gain an understanding of the Financial Services
You will be gaining an understanding of the financial services and knowledge of individual products such as mortgages including repayment, interest only, lifetime, self certing. Personal insurance such as life insurance, ASU, income protection. General household insurance and investments.
When you join the graduate scheme you will be working in a number of different departments at PTFS that will provide you with a detailed insight into a market leading network and see how the company operates and its objectives. Then once assigned to the compliance department you will be gaining an understanding of how the industry is regulated through the FSA and its requirements and procedures such as learning what money laundering is and the combating of financing of terrorism and how to report any suspicious activities. You will also study about the data protection act and how this affects your everyday working activities. You will also be gaining knowledge on the FSA’s initiative of treating customers fairly, its concepts and the affects this has on PTFS and it’s appointed representatives.
